Industry IKON Listing Policy

Industry IKONs is a curated recognition section of Gateway to Bollywood for established and publicly recognised personalities whose professional contribution to the entertainment industry can be supported by reliable public information.

An Industry IKON is a recognition listing. It is not a hiring profile, and it is separate from the normal GTB Talent system. Talent members are respected exactly as before; their registration, profiles and browsing experience are unchanged by this policy.

Being listed as an Industry IKON does not mean that Gateway to Bollywood endorses, represents, employs or has a commercial association with that person, unless separately stated.

There are only two public categories inside Industry IKONs:

• Movie Stars — personalities recognised mainly for their work in films.
• TV Stars — personalities recognised mainly for their work in television.

The category is separate from the professional role. A person listed as a Movie Star may be an actor, actress, director, producer, writer, music director, cinematographer, choreographer, casting director, editor, designer or any other approved professional role, and more than one role can be shown.

Listing is strictly by invitation from Gateway to Bollywood. There is no public application or self-nomination process for Industry IKON status through the website.

An invitation link is private, single-use and valid only for the period specified by Gateway to Bollywood. Receiving an invitation does not guarantee a listing; admin approval is always required.

Before a profile is published, our team reviews information available in the public domain. This may include IMDb, Wikipedia, professional credits, recognised productions, awards and honours, independent media coverage and other reliable public sources.

Social-media popularity alone does not qualify anyone as an Industry IKON. If one source is unavailable but there is strong independent evidence, the case may be marked for manual review rather than being rejected automatically.

We do not publish our internal evaluation method or any internal points.

A manager, PR representative, assistant or agency may manage a profile only after the relationship is stated during registration and verified by our team.

A claimed relationship is never accepted automatically. Gateway to Bollywood may recognise one authorised representative as the active profile manager at a time.

Consent is mandatory.

The person or a representative who is authorised to act on their behalf must confirm, at the time of registration, that the information is accurate, that they have the necessary authority to submit and manage the profile, and that the information may be displayed publicly and be searchable.

This consent is recorded with a date and a version.

Gateway to Bollywood may approve, reject, request further evidence, keep a case under manual review, publish, unpublish, suspend, archive or remove any Industry IKON profile.

Approval and publication are separate steps: an approved profile is not visible to the public until it is published.

Suspended, unpublished, archived or rejected profiles are not shown publicly.

Public profiles may display the name, category, professional roles, industry, biography, notable work, career details, filmography or television work, awards, gallery images, approved public professional links and representation details where we are authorised to show them.

Internal verification material — including our internal evaluation, evidence notes, admin notes and representative verification records — is never displayed publicly.

A listed person or an authorised representative may request a correction of incorrect information, a transfer of direct control, a representative change, or removal of the profile.

Requests can be submitted from the profile page and are reviewed by our team. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity or authority before acting.

Submitting false information, claiming a relationship that does not exist, or impersonating another person may result in immediate suspension or removal of the profile, and may also affect any related Gateway to Bollywood account.

Gateway to Bollywood may update this policy when required. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date of the last update.
